The entire series is overlaid with grains, which are medium-strength in most cases, but become really heavy when the daikenja is on the scene. We kept them for the visual effects. However, these heavy grains really consume a lot of bitrates. No wonder the greatly varied file size of our final product - actually matches how many times the daikenja appears.
On the other hand, the lines are generally good. We used AA for some rare aliased ones. A few scenes also have colour banding issues, and we applied strong de-banding accordingly. Since there are no blu-ray releases for the OADs, we used the Web sources instead, as they resemble the main episodes more in terms of image quality. The lossless audio tracks are sourced from DVD releases.
