At first sight, I was even thinking if there"s something wrong with my media player settings. After some analysis, we determined that the source has a native resolution of only 720p, and was upscaled to 1080p using an awfully primitive and blurry scaling method. We could have simply used lossless de-scaling to restore everything back to 720p, but the OP and some text in the ED are actually native 1080p.
