S1 has a good quality with clear lines, mild aliasing and slight banding on the surface，so mild anti-aliasing and de-banding are enough to produce a satisfactory result. The image in S2 is greyish, lines look blurry, and most scenes are natively 720p.
We firstly descaled the image back to 720p and reconstructed with better algorithms, which solved the aliasing fairly well. Banding on the surface is stronger than that of in S1, so we applied stronger de-banding here. S3 has bright colours and clear lines. It delivers a comfortable visual experience, but there are many weird rough aliasing and noticeable banding.
