I have tested it with Apollo Lake (hardware decoding only), Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake, Ryzen (software decoding), Polaris and Pascal.
However since it’s YUV420, you will need an excellent graphic card (at least Vega 56/GTX1070) for an awkward chroma upscaling (say, madvr’s NGU).
Hardware decoding compatibility or better chroma performance. It’s a trade-off I had made.
So if there’s anybody who is too idle to react to my release, please try an 8K 4:4:4 upscaling.
