12月30日，《首都功能核心区控制性详细规划（街区层面）（2018年—2035年）》（草案）公示启动，听取公众意见，公示期为2019年的12月30日到2020年的1月28日。

The core area of the capital, including Dongcheng and Xicheng districts and covering an area of 92.5 square km, will be endowed with the functions of the country"s political, cultural and international exchange center. The area will also serve as a key conservation area of historical and cultural heritage and a window to display the capital city of China.首都功能核心区，包括北京市的东城区和西城区两个行政区，总面积92.5平方公里，是全国政治中心、文化中心和国际交往中心的核心承载区，是历史文化名城保护的重点地区，是展示国家首都形象的重要窗口地区。
