RIA Novosti: Not long ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping held a video summit with US President Joe Biden. This week the Russian president and the American leader also held video talks. So are there any plans to hold a video summit of the leaders of China and Russia until the end of this year? And second, in China’s opinion, what issues do Moscow and Beijing currently view as the most important for bilateral relations?

Wang Wenbin: The guidance of the two head of states is the fundamental guarantee for and the greatest advantage of the sustained and high-level development of China-Russia relations. Since 2013, President Xi Jinping and President Putin have met 36 times, which steered the course of back-to-back strategic cooperation between the two countries, made top-level design for all-round pragmatic cooperation between the two sides, and injected strong impetus into the cause of world peace and development.
