从我多年来与韩国人和韩裔美国人交朋友来看，我觉得他们大多是种族主义者。当我拜访学校的韩国转学生时，总有一个或两个学生对我不是韩国人感到惊讶（我是越南人，但我看起来像韩国人）。他们似乎对此也有些不高兴，然而，其余的人并不真正关心这个，另一方面，韩裔美国人几乎都不是种族主义者，他们对每个人都一视同仁。然而，我认为东亚人（韩国人、日本人、中国人等）看不起东南亚人（越南人、柬埔寨人、泰国人等）是很常见的，部分原因是他们长得不一样，东亚人倾向于在美白皮肤上花更多的钱，让眼睛更小，鼻子更高，但是东南亚人皮肤有各种颜色，眼睛很大，而且大多数人都有扁平的鼻子。

They often tell me that despite living there, Vietnamese culture still permeates through their lifestyle (i.e. conservative Asian culture v. American culture)As this is the only encounter I have with Vietnamese culture and people in general, I can’t really warrant an in-depth answer to this question. But generally, we Koreans look at Viets like most other nations from South East Asia. They love Korean culture and want to visit Korea too.
