从文学层面来说，东巴古籍一百卷形式上以东巴仪式为主线，藏着太多诗歌、散文、小说素材，然而，这些素材深藏于古籍的每一个细枝末节中，深藏于繁复的东巴仪式中，如果没有坚定的信念，如果没有坚持到底的决心，如果没有一定的灵性和文学基础，如果没有排除万难的力量，那么，一卷都读不下去，更无从理解古籍的深义，终是无法建立深度的链接，那么，这份文化真的只是供于神龛之上的文化，只能仰望而遥不可及，诸多因素注定了这只是小众能够掌握的文化。

东巴经书中常出现“人类居住的大地上”这句话，说的不只是纳西民族，而是指全人类，东巴经书中“天所盖住的地方”这句话同样如此，关注的是全人类。可见，东巴文化讲的是普天之下全人类命运共同体意识，是福泽人类的大爱。可见，这份文化，从来不只是一份民族文化，而是关乎全人类的文化传承与发展。
